Hi all.

I wish to connect my solar set up to the mains of the house so that instead of having wires pinned up around the ceilings of each room from the inverters to wherever in the house the power is needed, I can just plug my things in like I usually would with bought electrics – into a hole in the wall. So I want to somehow connect my power to the same system as the power I would get if I bought it. HOWEVER, I do not wish to sell back the power I create and I do not want the option to buy it if the need be. I want nothing to do with the grid, but I want my power to run through the wires already in my house. (Sorry to repeat myself). Anybody have any ideas? If you know of a youtube video to assist please provide the link. Thanks.

You will need storage. Batteries are typically your only real option.
The inverter should be able to be grid tied, but you do not need to use the grid.
Simply turn off the incoming breaker, or have the power company stop service.
Then all the other wires in the house are already in place. If you ever move, then the house is ready for the next occupant to get power from the grid if they wish.

Hear straight from the collegiate students from The Southern California Institute of Architecture and California Institute of Technology about their design and strategy behind their entry in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2011.

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency.

Well, I think I’ve finally finished my home solar project. After doing a lot of reading, I believe I have an otherwise decent and safe system. I tried to design it around the NEC’s Article 690 as much as “practical”. I’ve added additional components, and changed a few things around. It’s been an enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience. I read “free” books on design, operation & maintenance, and safety, along with referencing the National Electrical Code in relation to PV systems. After playing with my new Grid Tie inverter, I’m convinced that it’s a good addition to any system that produces 500+ Watts of power. My system is not the best and my way is not the only way to implement a home system, but I hope my ideas helps someone along the way. For those that wish to truly learn about Stand-Alone PV system design etc, the following are excellent free books I downloaded and used:
1.) Stand-Alone Photovoltaic Systems – (by Sandia National Labs)
2.) Maintenance And Operation of Stand-Alone Photovoltaic Systems (Sandia)
3.) Working Safely with Photovoltaic Systems (Sandia National Labs)
4.) Photovoltaic Power Systems And the 2005 NEC: Suggested Practices

Simply google the titles and download the pdf’s, and your good to go. Good Fortune, and have fun.

http://www.SolarPoweredHome.us – So, you are interested in knowing how to generate power and reduce your electricity bills, than you have come to the right place. With the ever increasing costs of living and global warming, there should be better time when we stop throwing money out the window and save some by starting to generate our own electricity. Whether you want to simply cut your power bills to half or completely eliminate them the one stop solution is SolarPoweredHome. Why pay a huge amount like $1000s for utilization of solar or wind power when you can have the opportunity to build your own home made solar system for less than $200. Thats right, there are guides that teach you everything you need to know about generating your own electricity by using wind and solar power. With the complete step-by-step setup fully illustrated manuals and easy to follow video instructions present in the guide you will be able to create renewable energy at home. Solar and wind power systems brought from the market costs higher but the guide and the program in it gives you the information that is required to get the same results at a tiny price. Once you have learned and ready to build and install your alternate power supply, you will save hundreds of dollars on your electricity bill. You need not have to build a 500 hundred foot high wind turbine to save lots of money on energy, a much smaller can be built by following the instructions present in the SolarPoweredHome kit. The SolarPoweredHome kit is the best system for people who are looking to save money on their home energy bill and want to build a energy generator at home .There is no other kit out there in the market like SolarPoweredHome that explains clearly with manuals or even includes videos. The SolarPoweredHome kit is available online for purchase. Many people can now have access to alternative solar and wind energy. The SolarPoweredHome kit suggests one of those popular alternative energy devices that prove to drop home energy costs by 50-80%. The kit also shares information on where to purchase free batteries required for your project. These batteries store the alternative energy making it a portable energy resource. You can take them anywhere, for any use! SolarPoweredHome is simply the best friendly system for preparing an alternative home energy. So if you are planning to save money on those high energy bills, then you should bring this guide and start working on it. Make power at home with solar and wind energy to eliminate your power bill. Visit : http://www.EdisonsEnergy.com And Discover Edisons secret on producing free energy, Tomas Edisons secret is not the solar panels or the wind turbine but the magnetic Earth Core , so this way this generator produces electrical energy, with the help of earth core and grounding, which can be used just like the solar panels and wind turbines. This personal power system can be connected to the entire power grid and excess produced power can be inserted into the grid and if you produce enough power you might even make money. The solar air and water heater are made from every day materials and are so easy to build that even a child can make them; all you need are the instructions.Solar panels, wind turbines can be bought but why spend a lot of money for something you can do yourself. The entire system can be made by anyone without any technical expertise. All you need are the instructions and the materials. Thomas Edisons secret provides detailed instructions on making everything you need for supplying your house with alternate energy sources. If you are interested in reducing or even eliminating your electric bills you have to try out alternative ways (such as the magnetic generator, solar panels and wind turbines) for producing electrical energy and thus creating an eco friendly home. Nowadays, energy sources are being massively exploited due to increased industrialization in the world. This means that in perceivable future fossil fuel reserves would disappear from our planet and we would be forced to find other means of satisfying our needs for fuel and energy. With the solar water and air heaters you can have hot water and keep your home nice and warm and you will do it without having to pay for gas or bills to electric companies. The real trick in this book is Thomas Edisons generator that can produce enough electricity to sustain an entire household. The solar panels would be producing excess electricity that can be sold to the power company. The entire system is compatible with any power company and its very easy to connect the generators solar to the power grid. Once its connected its very easy to start being self sufficient and eco friendly person that is protecting the planet instead of exploiting planets natural resources. prototype voltage practical economical utility iron project engineering discovery secret product built fuel fueled gadgets gallon gas gasoline h2o hho advantages alternative benefits bill generate technology global green eco home how to make diy new skills battery warehouse video fix repair Install Inventions Thomas Edison Free Electricity Generator energy power device system Current coils electric fields patents Light Bulb lights vacuum self running motor ac dcmachine engine
